What should I know prior to a meeting? |

While there is no required reading or knowledge necessary before a meeting, reading through the following bullet points will give you a head start on meeting night. The meeting is divided into three sections. The first part of the meeting (typically) is table topics. A "Table Topics Master" calls on members (and guests if willing) to answer a topic in off-the-cuff fashion. Each table topic lasts 1 to 2 minutes. This section is followed by the prepared speeches section. Various club members spend the entire week planning and practicing a speech that they give in front of the group. Once the speeches are complete, designated club members give a 2-3 minute evaluation of each speech. This section also includes a report on the use of grammar, the use of ahs and ums, and a recap of timing.
